Sambal Belacan

Some Coach items came today. Fahdzlina's Denim Duffle was one of them. It really looks quite pretty, although duffles generally are realy not for me lar. It's the round bottom I do not get, not to mention the bag is really an odd shape for a person like me. But on someone else, ah!..it looks good! Anyway, here are some quick snaps...

The details on this bag is gorgeous. The leather very supple, the stitching very nicely done, check out the little woven details on the handles, plus the brass details. The best part about Coach duffle's are the fact that the handles can be adjusted to shoulder carrying length or crossbody length. I think that's such a neat feature and I applaud the genius who designed it that way, really. One day, I shall get myself a duffle. I think every girl needs a duffle in her life. The question is, which duffle? Ahahahaha..this is starting to sound like I am choosing my soul-mate pulak!

Ok on another note, do you not just LOVE "Sambal Belacan"? What will one do without it? For instance, I had meehoon goreng tonight.
You know the usual boring kind, nothing special about it. Plus I am the sort of person who says "tak nak sayur", so even more boring.

But add "Sambal Belacan" and WHAM!! An instant success! Keeps me wanting more somemore! I must learn to make this delicacy. Anyone got a good recipe to share?? The malay sambals are really the nicest. I like both the pedas ones and the slightly sweet ones. So please, please somebody e-mail me and teach me how to make "Sambal Belacan". Thanking you in advance!!
